Hi,
I am able to access Power BI from server wheree i installed Power BI but when i try to connect it from my local desktop it throws below error message.
Unable to connect
Details: "Microsoft SQL: The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context."
I connected to client VPN and able to test connections under settings/manage gateways from https://app.powerbi.com with same login but when i try to connect from Power BI desktop throws error message.

Hi @marumsdax,
Based on my research, this is a generic error when accessing SQL Server. It can be caused by many issues, like Active Directory access permissions, failure to register an SPN and so on. The KB811889 should help you troubleshoot this issue.
As this issue is more related to SQL Server Security, I would suggest you also go SQL Server Security Forum for better assistance.
