The map visualization in Power BI Desktop does not work.

Hello everybody, Help me please, i have a problem with map visualisation in Power BI Desktop.   I loaded the training example "Supplier-Quality-Analysis-Sample-PBIX" but the maps were not running....

    Hi Oshchekhin,

     

    Can you open  https://www.bing.com/maps/?

    Try open cmd, input "ping bing.com".

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    If you can see time, you can reach bing.com. The smaller the time, the better the connection.

Hi Oshchekhin,

 

Please check these below:

1. Are there proper relationships among the three tables?

2. What is the data of the column "plant"? Does it have the right values of locations for a map? Could you please provide a sample?

    1) Yes, there are proper relationships among the three tables. 

    2) The data of the column "plant" have values of locations for a map.

    This problem 

    I found this example on the official site microsoft rus:

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/C/6/8C661638-C102-4C04-992E-9EA56A5D319B/Supplier-Quality-Analysis-Sample-PBIX.pbix

     

    I have this problem with any example, with any maps. Perhaps the problem is due to connecting to BING?  I do not know.

      Hi Oshchekhin,

       

      Your sample works great. Please check if you can connect to Bing map. The Data Category of plant should be "Address", which aren't city names.

        Tell me please how to check connection with BING? I think it's about this.
