The date format is changed at drop down automatically?
Hi,
In my source the date format is in dd/MM/YYYY format, but when I drag the field at dropdown it is converted to long date date format like this:
but I nned o show the date for like the source. SO how can I stop this?
Hi d_sandip59
To get the date formate as dd/MM/YYYY format, please write a formula in a calculated column
Column = FORMAT([date],"dd/mm/yyyy")
But this is a text type column, when you add it to a visual, to make it display as the date column order, you need to sort the [Column] by [date] column.
Reference:
sort column in power bi desktop

Hi d_sandip59,
Choose the column you want and then on the modelling tab change the format of the date, by default it assumes the long date format.
Maybe you have to remake your slicer but changing this should work as need.

There is no format available for mm/dd/yyyy format in modelling. So what should I do now?
