Hi, I have in the past been able to set up a non secure sql database server instance and use the data source by responding to the prompt "The data source you're trying to access doesn't support encryption. To access this data source using an unencrypted connection, click OK".
Now when I try to connect to a different sql database server that also requires a non secure connection it no longer prompts me to connect unencrypted. It just keeps coming back with "We encountered an error when trying to connect. Details: "Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The received certificate has expired.)" It no longer prompts me to connect unencrypted and just keeps failing and will not create the data source.
When I go to the Options / Data Sources window I can see the data source and set it as unencrypted but then I can't see it in recent data sources or anywhere else.
Is there a way to reset the default for sql sources as not encrypted?
