    Hj Parchitect 

     

    Clearing cache didn't work for me.

     

    I think I fixed by turning going into the Microsoft Edge browser settings and turning off popups, then set it to recommend.

    I spoke to the Microsoft Business Team. 
     
    They say ​this error is caused by a recent Windows Defender update bug.
     
    The bug prevents the semantic mode "Edit in Desktop" option from the Fabric Power BI Service.
     
    The bug won't be fixed until late July 2026.
     
    There is this workaround solution ...
     
    •  Start Power BI Desktop
    • Click OneLake catalog
    • Click the semantic model you want to edit
    • Click, the Connect drop down menu
    • Click Edit
     
     
    I am accepting this as the solution.

I got it working now, I refreshed the website containing the error few times, closed it and it worked again. I dont know if it helps, if it does not, try to clear cache and so on.
