Target/Goal - How to? Tips & Tricks?

Thanks for being sincere, its quite hard to explain but let me try.
We as a company are about move our entire KPI to Power BI and to this im appointed to make this happen. Im new to the system and im trying to figure out how it works, how to make the best setup to satisfy everyones needs and there are three things that i want to know more about and it is:
1. Hows your or whats the best setup regarding all the tables? I know and i guess that in the end there are alot of tables and to have a nice structure among these is a great thing.
2. Amongst all the tables there are a few thing everything has in common (at least for us and now :) ) and it is Location and Date. Unfortunatly our systems provide different variations of data around Date and Terminal (eg. SWE Gothenburg instead of Gothenburg) and to use this information i need a separate table for all our Locations and manage the Locations with relationsships. My question here is, im i doing this right or is it the right way? How do you do?
3. In all our KPI's we have targets/goals, how do you manage this in Power BI? Not all Visuals have properties for Targets/goals (like the gauge visual), should you then setup your PBIX so there is only visuals like the gauge visual? Googled this and found a guy using goals in a separate table and using values like 1, 2 and 3 and have linked an arrow picture to the specific values and when a goal or target hit this value an arrow appears.
I hope you understand more, this is not a problem, i just want to make a great setup from the beginning.

If you mean table visuals, it should depend on your design. Personally, if there are other visuals, like chart, slicer, map,..,etc. I won't place all table visuals together, instead, place other visuals between the table visuals, looks like below:
Based on which kind of data you want to show, you can consider to use other visuals to display data. You can find buil-n visuals here: Visualization types in Power BI. You can also take a look at the samples to see how to design reports.

How do you do?You can go to Query Editor, and use Split Column feature to split value "SWE Gothenburg" to "SWE" and "Gothenburg" in two columns, then you can create relationship based on "Gothenburg".

Power BI doesn't have OOTB visuals to indicates value status use arrow. You can create it in Excel then import to Power BI desktop. See: Import and display KPIs.
