Taking too long to load data

Hi everyone,

It is taking too long time to load the data from excel files or csv files and even while using enter data option.  What do I need to do?

 

 

Can you guys please help me?

    I think the issue is not about file, its about powerbi desktop.  I tried the enter data option in a new empty pbix file too.

    Hey Hari_Gopal ,

     

    then load the files to a relational database like SQL Server. The load from SQL to Power BI will be faster than from flat files. Also Query folding can happen and improve performance.

      Hi selimovd ,

      Incase if I want to enter data manually by using enter data option, It is also taking time to load.

        Hey Hari_Gopal ,

         

        what takes time to load?

        When you enter data manually that's the most direct way, the data can be transferred directly from Power Query to the data model, this should not take long. Does this also happen when you only use manually entered tables with the "Enter data" function? Otherwise this query might wait for other queries to finish.
