Tabular Editor bug since Power BI September 2025?

The behavior that you've described is currently a known issue as a result of changes that Microsoft made in the September 2025 update of Power BI Desktop, and our team is actively working on a patch to update our tool accordingly.
In the meantime, you can work around this issue by navigating to your TE2 preferences and turning on the setting listed below
File > Preferences > Allow unsupported Power BI features (experimental)
Once you have activated this setting, you should see the full experience that you had previously.
