Tableau to Power BI migration
Hi puneethjp
For 1st:
- In the Location field: Add Zone_Name
- In the Legend field: Add the Zone
- Now in the Format your visual pane enable Bubble Layer under it enable Category Lables, this will display the Zone_Name in the map. Make changes accordingly like size and color based on your requirement (Note: Powerbi don’t have a feature to display multiple fields on same bubble on the map but it can display on the top of the visual like below sample image)
- To display Zone, in Format your visual pane enable Legend and it will display the Zone.
- In the legend under options you can set the position and under Text you can change font, size and color of Zone
- Below is the sample image from PowerBI, where I have selected Zone_Name as Is MidWest
For 2nd:
- In the Location field: Add Region_Name
- In the Legend field: Add the Region
- In the Format your visual pane enable Bubble Layer under it enable Category Lables, this will display the Region_Name in the map and make changes accordingly like size and color based on your requirement
- To display Region, in Format your visual pane enable Legend and it will display the Region.
- In the legend under options you can set the position and under Text you can change font, size and color of Zone
- Below is the sample image from PowerBI, where I have selected Zone_Name as Is East, Region_Name as Boston and Region as D1-10
For 3rd:
- In the Location field: Add Workcenter Number
- In the Legend field: Add the Region and make the above changes.
- Below is the sample image

@v-achippa Thank you for your time in answering the questions. But, if you look at the images i shared
1 st visual had 4 zones: East west etc along with numders D1, D2 should be displayed. (The challenge is how to replicate just the zones in the first scenario)
2 nd when i select east (zone): Repective map should point to east, then display respective details as show in image ( not the tooltips)
3 rd when i select east (zone): Repective map should point to east, then display respective details as show in image ( work center show up upfront, not the tooltip )
Note; We are not looking for tooltips. We are using Azure maps now. Open to work with other maps tooif it solves the purpose.
The challenge is how to replicate just the zones in the first scenario, then similary cases proceeds to next ones.
