I tried to find online if anyone else has experienced this problem before but can't seem to find any posts regarding it.
I have about 40k records that I am displaying with TableSorter. What I noticed is that when I tried to sort by a column, only the 1000 visible records get sorted, (as opposed to the entire 40k records getting sorted then displaying the top 1000.) Is this a design flaw/bug or am I missing something here?
Thanks!
I have encountered the same issue. I verified that the issue is with the Tablesorter custom visual. I have a standard Table visual that does show all records in the (same) table that I am using the tbale sorter on. It owuld be nice if the BI team can verify that this is true or not, part of development process. I even loked at the Github repository that is open, but didn't see any docuemntation indicating yes/no.
I can't post a scereen shot, as it has confidential cleint information. But the isssue is DEFINITLEY with the Tablesorter custom visual. I think a wiser product decision may be to make the Table visual sortbale for each column.......kinda like Excel....another microsoft product
@ange are you talking about the sort button in a table?
please post screenshots of your issue

NO, not the sort button in a table. That only sorts ascending or descending. The filter in the Tablesorter custome visual allows you to look up a value or a string that may be in the variable values (character)
I will try to upload a screenshot some time today. I am talking about the custom visualization called "Table Sorter". It is very similar to the built-in table, but has a few more features.
