Table with Percentage per item
- Anonymous6 years ago
First calculate the number of "1"
Number of 1=COUNTROWS(FILTER(Table;Table[Exist]=1))
if you put in a visual with the product as rows you should haveA 3
B 2
C 4
Now the trick is to calculate how many rows you have, in total and that can easily done with a measure
Number of Rows = COUNTROWS(Product)
Again if you put both measures in a table
A 2 5
B 3 5
C 4 5Now just make a third measure that does the percentage
----------------------Based on your question, I suggest you to take at least a basic course on how DAX works
Thanks for your concern Anonymous , and I'm doing that, I actually had a problem with the numbers I got that way, and that's why I'm learning more about DAX, right now I'm the only employee here working with Power BI, and the scheadule ain't helping with the learning.
So I'll use this chance to ask this, Where can I get the best studying material for Power BI? I've been seeing youtube videos and reading the documentation on Microsoft about it
Hi
there's plenty of free course on EdX, Coursera etc on PowerBI and DAX.
This is a good starting point
https://www.sqlbi.com/p/introducing-dax-video-course/
Once you take this free course you have the fundamentals that allows you to understand DAX and avoid basic mistakes.
Then you can take their advanced course - even if it's not free. Or buy their book that is based the course on (The Definitive Guide to DAX - 2nd edition).
