Table Visual Filter: TopN (rest of the other?)

I have a Table visual that shows the top 25 of a measure using the filter pane. Is it possible to show the rest of the data (excluding top 25) without writing a complicated DAX?

I'm looking for everything NOT Top 25, it is different from Bottom 25?

Hi,

This can be done only with writing a DAX measure.  I don't knnow what you mean y complicated - it is a subjective term.

How would you write one if I have want to show a column with Top 25 Clients for the current date, and the non-Top 25 grouped under "Other"? I also want the condition to sum the AcctBalances by all positive numbers and all negative numbers, not net of positive & negative numbers.... complicated? lol

Share some data to work with and show the expected result very clearly.  Explain all conditions you have.

Hi, @dw2468

Based on your information, I create a table:

If you don't want to use DAX, you can try recreating a Table visual and filtering the rest of the data in the filter. Also note that this filter is in the visual, not the entire page or report

I cannot force an index colummn because the Top 25 names is dynamic and is based on a sum of another column.

Hi, @dw2468

Maybe you can try to use the “Top N” filter in Power BI to achieve this. Here is my example:

Go to your table visual and click on the filter pane. Add a new filter for the measure you’re interested in. In the filter type dropdown, select “Top N”. Enter 25 in the “Show items” field. In the “By value” field, select the measure that you want to base the top 25 on.

Instead of selecting “Top”, select “Bottom” from the dropdown. This will show all the items that are not in the top 25 based on the measure you selected.

This allows you to dynamically filter out the top 25 items based on the measure and display the rest in the table visual.
