I'm new to Power Bi and using the desktop version with a Pro license. I had our data running off my local laptop but thought it was safer to have the data stored on the Google drive. I've remapped all the data sources to the Google drive but this has made the reports and any changes really slow. Is there any way I could speed things up in terms of performance. Our data isn't very big as we are a school.

@Anonymous , can be the reason, But I am not sure on that. there can be a limit also how much and what speed you can query.
So first we need to check if there an issue with the model and fix that.
@Anonymous ,You can analyze performance using DAX studio. And fine tune the reason or share here

Another thing if you can move it to one drive and try
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-use-onedrive-business-links
Thanks but we are a school running on Google and not Microsoft so we don't use One drive much.
@Anonymous , check if you get something on DAX analyzer share any specific issues.
Also can share data model diagram.
Also, refer
