System Requirements for Running Power BI Desktop in Citrix Environment

Hi Everyone,

I've been using Power BI Desktop with the Citrix Environment.  Having challenges with disk space/memory.  Not sure if it is really the Citrix or the PBIX file.

The dataset is large and includes many calculations / measures across many tables.

I've been finding when I do any Power Query work, it would crash or raise an error:  not enough disk space.

I've had additional Citrix disk space provisioned a few times.

Even without Citrix, I'm considering that the PBIX file I'm leveraging is quite large.

Although I've tried to create my own model and reports and it's a much smaller file, I lose benefiting from the measures that get published or updated to the main PBIX.

Is there a recommended disk space and memory when using Power BI desktop in Citrix?

How much is needed on the local computer when using with Citrix when using large data and large PBIX files?

I think all my memory and disk space have been triggered based on Citrix.

Any recommendations for the Citrix terminal or any info that can be referenced?  Haven't seen any recent discussion on Citrix, so wondering about any latest info on this.

Sincerely,

Getting tired of asking for more disk space

  • czedge does that PBIX file works fine on your local computer. Here is the minimum requirement which you probably already know. I'm using Citrix environment for one of my clients but never ran into any issue.
