Hi,
We had a situation where we needed to provide same bookmark navigator across pages. The bookmarks change the date slicers to a specific value for each button.
Now, we have these date slicers synced across pages. So, if we change the bookmark in one navigator, the slicers get updated in all the pages. However, the bookmark navigator in each page does not update to the right button. Is there a way to sync the bookmark navigators across pages?
Alternatively, is there a way to update the color of individual buttons of the navigator? For example, if the minimum date on the page falls in January then the button named "January" will have a blue background and the button named "April" will have a white background.
Yes, this is possible. I have a similar use case with timing filter buckets (Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly)
You need to copy the bookmark navigator to each single page and connect it to one and the same bookmark group. Update the bookmarks only to the corresponding slicer visuals (Checkmark at 'selected visuals').
Afterwards, you still have the problem that the bookmark navigator will guide you to a different page when you would like to select it at a different page than the bookmark has been assigned to. This you can avoid by unboxing 'Current Page'.
Now your slicers are synced and the bookmark navigator switch them through across pages. And the navigators on the other pages will adapt once you switch on your current page 🙂
Bookmarks are - by design - page specific. Find another solution (for example "Sync slicers").
Actually, the solution as given by MiTOX does work. Just keep in mind that the Checkmark at 'selected visuals' and unboxing 'Current Page' steps are only necessary with the bookmarks in the "target" bookmark group. It took me some fiddling around before I figured that one out ;-).
