Hello Community -
I have a relative date slicer on all of my report pages, but not all of the slicers are synced. Only certain pages have this slicer synced, however, they all need to have the same anchor date.
Is there anyway to have the anchor date synced across all the slicers so I do not have to change the anchor date multiple times? Or is there anyway to make the anchor date dynamic so it is the MAX date of my calendar table?
Thanks Community
Ryan F.
Hi, @ryan_b_fiting
Have you take @ribisht17 's advice? I think you can use 'sync slicer' function to sync your anchor dates in all pages, and use 'sync slicer' function to sync relative date slicer for certain pages. If you are still confused, please feel free to ask me.

@v-janeyg-msft I am not sure I understand how this would work? I completely understand the sync slicer ability, but I do NOT want to sync the slicer inputs across ALL pages.
I have 2 pages in my report that need to be default to a relative date range, 2 other pages that need to be set to a different date range, and 3 other pages that need a different range. However, across all 7 pages, I need the anchor date to remain the consistent.
Maybe I am missing something in your links, but I do not believe this resolves the issue.
Hi, @ryan_b_fiting
I think you still don't understand, sync slicer feature is not only sync all pages. Create a slicer, you can select the page you want to synchronize, other pages will not be affected if you don't select it. According to your needs, you need to several slicers, and then operate according to different needs.
Can you describe specifically where you have the problem so that we can solve it concretely?

I absolutely understand the sync slicers and it does not have to be across all pages. I know that I can sync them for certain pages and not for other pages. The ISSUE is I cannot sync the ANCHOR DATE across all the pages WITHOUT syncing the slicers. I do not want to have to go in and change 3 seperate anchor dates on relative date filters.
I have a relative date filter that is showing on all 7 pages. 2 are synced for a specifc range, 2 more for a specific range and 3 for another range. All 7 pages should NOT be synced for the date range, but ALL 7 need to have the exact same anchor date. I want to only have to change 1 anchor date and ALL slicers reflect that anchor date (the max date of the sales data)
Was that more clear?
@v-janeyg-msft unfortunately, still no solution for this yet. The visual interactions do not solve the issue being the slicers are on different report pages.
Hi, @ryan_b_fiting
Have you tried to add date column to filter pane>>filters on all pages and select the anchor date?

Hi, @ryan_b_fiting
Interaction between slicers can be canceled.

Hi Ryan,
So, what about the sync slice option? Does that not help? How to Sync a Slicer Across Multiple Pages in Power BI Desktop - YouTube
OR anchor date dynamic so it is the MAX date of my calendar table?
