Switch the source table of a visualization form M Code to DAX and stop Dynamic table name changes.

I need to switch the tables in several visuals from Power Query to DAX.  However, when I rename the M Code tables then set the new tables with the old names,  all references in Visurals and Measures are change as well, so they refer back to the old tables with the new names.

Is there a way to stop this dynamic name changing.

Hi @nabullock ,

The possible method is do not apply query changes to the model temporarily after you change the table name. But why don't you want to update the new table name into the model? Since it is not required, you can change back the old table name in Power Query Editor...
