Switch from Direct Query to Import for datasource, report fails with SQLSTATE=HY000 SQLCODE=-343

We have generated few reports using Direct Query method in BI Desktop. In the backend datasource is IBM DB2. I want to change the reports to Import Query method, so while changing them I get error on loading report - OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] Microsoft Db2 Client: HISMPCB0009 In BasePrimitiveConverter the value of the input data exceeds the maximum allowed for the output field. SQLSTATE=HY000 SQLCODE=-343.

    Hi, Anonymous 

    Do you get a similar error when you create a new pbix to import data from IBM DB2 ?

    Direct Query support large Scale data sources and there is no size limitation while import is not so much Scale-able.

    Converting the Direct Query method to import mode is not recommended if your data model is too large.
