Hi All,
I've worked a lot with MS Access but new to Power BI so please excuse the newbie question.
I have a table in MS Access that holds production data by line, shift and day. I want to create a Power BI report with a chart that can do various things with the data. Such as: I would like the option to put in a date range and then show then show the efficiency by either day, week or month. Also the option to show the efficiency for each production line separately, selected group of lines or the total for the department / shift.
The efficiency is calculated by the taking the sum of the actual run time and the sum of the target run time for any criteria selected above, then calculating an efficiency (Eff% = total target run time selected / total actual run time selected) which is then plotted on the chart.
In Access I would simply create a query that filters and sum's data based on inputs on a form. But I can't figure out how to do something similar in Power BI. I can load the data from access simply enough.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Please provide sample non-confidential data or PBIX file and a depiction of the expected outcome.
