Summarize rows of data

I am trying to create a matrix that displays the data with a summation of the Transaction Amount for each Category.  My current sum(Transaction amount) displays the same value as the grand total.  What am I doing wrong?

@kfschaefer do you have transaction account and category in two different table? Can you share your sample data and data model?

@kfschaefer cool. although you solved wiht query but you could have achieved the same in powerbi. FYI
