Summarize by max date

I have been looking around the forum but I cant seem to figure it out

I have this table:

NameLastdate
Microsoft04/01/2017
Microsoft03/01/2018

 

And I want to create this table:

NameLastDate
Microsoft03/01/2018

 

I am using summarize(table, name, "max",max(date)) but somehow I am getting 04/01/2017. 

 

Its probably something obvious but I would appreciate your help

Is "LastDate" formatted as text or as Date? There should be the problem 😉

 

Format it as Date ...
