SumIf into powerBi..
Hi,
I am trying to get an equivalent of SUMIF on Power BI, however I am having problems. I have tried the function calculator but to no avail.
I want to create a formula that sums a column on a table based on the filters the user input.
I have 2 tables:
- the actual table:
- PY table:
So based on what the user will filter in the report the result will change. It can happen that sometime he want to have the resullt just at Brand/Model level, or Brand/Model/Mw/voltage level etc... I don't know if its feasable or how... I tried the calculate function but nothing seems to work.. I am for sure doing something wrong. Is it possible to such a thing in Power BI?
I would really appreciate some help 😄
Thank you

Hi Anonymous,
Current power bi does not support create dynamic calculated column/table based on filter effect. They were not host on the same level and you can't use the child level to effect its parents.
Notice: the data level of power bi(from parent to child level)
Database(external) -> query table(query, custom function, query parameters) -> data model table(table, calculate column/table) -> data view with virtual tables(measure, visual, filter, slicer)
