Hi Everyone! I'm new to power bi and am still learning DAX measures, so any help/advice is very much appreciated! I'm currently trying to make a measure that adds the subcategroies to then be defined by the categories. Unfortunately my orgs settings does not allow me to share even a test pbix, so I encluded a test excel screenshot:
So for example, I'm looking to add A1+A2, B1+B2, C1+C2, & D1+D2 to get: A, B, C, & D.
How would I go about making this measure?
Thank you in advance for any help!!

Hi @Andi_R
You don't need to write a measure for this, PBI does it for you.
After entering the data into PBI, add a table and add the Category and Total
