Sudden Poor Performance - March 2023
Hello,
I recently updated PBI Desktop to the February release and immediately some of the more sensitive steps stopped working due to memory issues. Even scaling the steps down 10x, same error. Additionally, when rolling back to the December 2022 release the same issues are encountered.
Context:
- PBI Crashes in the Report layer when adding a calculated lookup column against 8M rows (run prev. many times)
- **Process executes successfully when using <1000 Rows of base data**
- 99% of steps leading up to the crash are performed in the Data Layer
Has, or is, this happening to others? Almost paralyzed at this point.
Thank you,
K

Hi Donic,
In the end what worked for me was resetting my computur and intalling the December 2022 release. Very extreme but it worked.
