Subtotal in Matrix Row not Appearing
Hello Forum,
What appears to be a straightforward ask not working as expected at all.
Requirement: Get Subtotals for First row of a Matrix
- I have a Matrix view with all of my analysis dimensions as Rows
- I've drilled down to the max level so all dimensions are visible
- I've enabled Row Subtotals and enabled Per Row Level, disabling subtotals on every column but the first one
Despite this, I am not seeing any subtotals appearing, even though the settings make it seem like they should be visible
Hi! Here is an example and it has the per row subtotal on and on on every row:
If I turn off all of them except the first one, it removes all of them and just leaves a total at the bottom (not in screenshot, but it is there).
What I suggest is turn all the subtotals back on, then, start with the bottom row in the drop down and start turning them off to see if that is what you want to accomplish. My guess is you will need the second one to be on. See, here, I have it on for Dept and Country.... and this shows me subtotal for Dept which would be Customer in your example. Having Customer and City on in your example should achieve your goal, but I always just start from the bottom of the drop down and work my way up as I turn off to see if it is dispalying as I want.
