Style preset not found error

I keep getting the following error after opening an old dashboard that I created with an earlier version of Power BI in a newer version. How am I able to fix that?

    Based on the above error ,Since this issue occurs after saving the current theme and trying to re-import it, the problem is most likely due to an invalid or corrupted theme JSON file.

    Here are some additional troubleshooting steps:

     

    • Make sure the theme file is valid JSON (no missing commas, brackets, or quotation marks).
    • Use a JSON validator or a code editor with JSON linting to verify the structure.
    • Even a small syntax error can cause the import to fail.
    • Remove complex or auto-generated sections such as:
    • visualStyles
    • Custom visual blocks
    • Preview-feature related properties
    • If the report contains custom visuals, try removing them temporarily and then export the theme again.

    Some theme properties depend on the Power BI Desktop version.
    Make sure your Power BI Desktop version supports the theme features used.

hi knut12212  when you are working in powerbi make sure you dont switch the versions in your developement period as newer version sometimes unable to edit or open the file as you have shown us in this post(or you face this issue if you edit the old version pbix file in newer version and then someone in your team try to open it in their old version app). once you start developing in certain version try to keep the version same unless you test everything before updating the powerbi desktop app, if there are multiple people working on the same proeject and you share the developement file with each other then they will not be able to access the report if you make changes in the different version. this is rule of thumb.
