Striped or gradient field color for shape map

Yes, the shape map is designed this way, each shape in the shape map can only be filled with one color. If the hierarchy in the location has only country, then it can only show one color.
Is it possible to put a hierarchy like state into the location field? This way it would be possible to set the country to two or more colors.Best Regards,
