Strange Report/Table/Model view Icons since January 2026 update
- 7 months ago
Loos liked Microsoft fixed the issue i a mid month update. They had to fix it for those of us in dark mode as the icons were mostly hidden.

Looks to be fixed for me now...
Hi Starriver,
Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Fabric Community Forum. Also, thank to asjones, cengizhanarslan, FBergamaschi for those inputs on this thread.
Yes, After installing the Power BI Desktop January 2026 update, Microsoft has changed the Report, Data Table, and Model view icons. The icons now look smaller and without names and are placed on the left side.
This is only a UI change. There is no change in functionality and it is happening for all users who updated to the January 2026 version.
So this is not an issue from your side.
I hope this information is helpful.

Hi Starriver,
Thanks for your response.
At the moment, Microsoft has not confirmed whether they will change the icons back to the old style. This looks like an intentional UI update in the January 2026 release, and it is currently the same for all users.
