Storage & caching settings for administrators
In multi-user environments, it can be incredibly difficult to manage the storage usage of Power BI Desktop as an Admin.
Suggestion:
GPO or Global Admin settings to manage storage and caching capacities on a per-user basis.
"LuciaIndex" and "TempSaves" folders in particular, along with others, can bloat infinitely if not managed and maintained correctly. There should be ways for shared environment administrators to set limitations on these folders, or settings for the Desktop application to be managed that will prevent bloating of these folders, and storage as a whole.

Power BI Desktop currently doesn't offer admin-level controls for managing folders like LuciaIndex or TempSaves
I suggest submitting your detailed feedback and ideas through Microsoft's official feedback channels, such as Microsoft Fabric Ideas. Feedback submitted through these channels is frequently reviewed by the product teams and can contribute to meaningful improvements.

Allow control of:-
Max storage size for
LuciaIndex,TempSaves -
Retention policies for temp saves (e.g., auto-delete after X days)

Option to disable caching entirely in shared/virtual environments

Redirect storage folders to another disk/network path

Similar toOffice Deployment Tool— allow asettings.jsonor registry-based override with:-

Alert admins if a user exceeds a certain local cache threshold

Controlling folders like LuciaIndex and TempSaves via GPO or Endpoint Manager makes a lot of sense, especially in shared or virtual environments. Disabling caching, setting retention policies, or redirecting paths would be valuable features.
