Stop words in the word cloud custom visualization

There appear to be some limits to the stop words in the word cloud custom visulization.  It also seems somewhat slow to re-filter when you add stop words. 

If the text that is intended for the word cloud will have many stop words, what are the best ways to eliminate them and enable the word cloud to only show the relevant action words?
