Stop Opening Popup for Suggesting Visuals (obnoxious)

I'm not sure who came up with this feature, but it is the most disruptive and obnoxious thing that happens to a report developer who already has familiarity with PBI.

Why does this suggestion box pop open all the time as I'm trying to get work done?

It is like intellisense for normal programming, but in PBI it feels like intellisense-from-hell.

How do we make this stupid popup stop appearing all the time?  I feel like it was designed for folks with ADHD who like to be distracted by a lot of irrelevant stimulus.  I really don't need that extra window appearing during my workflows.

@dbeavon3

you must have activated on object  interaction which gives these options. just unselect that option and restart powerbi desktop , so you will get regular interface

In Power BI Desktop:

  1. Go to File → Options and settings → Options

  2. Select Preview features (or Report settings, depending on your Desktop version)

  3. Look for Visual suggestions / On-object interaction / Suggestions

  4. Uncheck / disable it

  5. Restart Power BI Desktop
