Stop Data Refresh

Hi,   I'm a PBI Premium User and have a very large dataset of approx. 500 million rows. The .pbix file is set up as a "Import" (for various reasons). As soon as I open the file, data starts refresh...

    Hi melpop ,

    When you open Query Editor in power bi desktop, select the table that you do not want to refresh, right click it and disable Include in report refresh (it is active by default), close and apply Query Editor and the table will not refresh when the report is refreshed.

There's an option for each query called 'Include in report refresh' which you could disable whilst working on the report, but you'd need to re-enable it before you publish the report.
