It looks like the Stepped Layout for Matrices is missing with Version: 2.129.905.0 64-bit (May 2024).

TLDR - you need to go to the layout and style presents and select a layour option there

Can someone please answer this again with details? The solution provided here is just a link to a LinkedIn post which is no longer available, so I'm no closer to the answer. Thanks.
It works with that config. Desable the +/- icons and manually move the columns
