Starting question :-)

Hi,

First day using PowerBI.  I have to write (by the end of this week) a dashboard based upon our service desk SQL 2012 database.

The dashboard will have six tiles, each of which will pull it's data from a seperated stored procedure.  I want to publish the dashboard so that it is accessable (via url) on a large screen TV, however I need the dashboard to refresh the data every 5 minutes.

I'm workign through the getting started articles but before I spent too much time, I want to be sure that PowerBI can do this, sort of function as a web page and refresh itself.

Our BI team here tell me Qlikview can do all this but I kinda want to learn something modern :-)

Thanks

Yes. When you pin a tile to a Power BI dashboard from a report, tile refresh automatically updates the cache for tile visuals, on the dashboard, once data changes. This happens about every fifteen minutes.

In addition, here is a similar thread for your reference. :smileyhappy:
