Standard or fixed Bar width

Hi Everyone,

I have use case where I built a tooltip page which consist of stacked bar chart designed on samples based on answer. My requirement is to keep the bar width fixed irrespective of sample size. Currently in attached screenshot we could see different width of samples 2,7,3. Irrespective of sample size is it possible to keep bar with fixed.

Thanks for help.

  • Hi hchava5292

The only way to keep the widht of each series is to use the same value. You can use a measure that returns a constant for the y-axis and then a customize the data label to that of the actual measure.

I don't think we can change the width for that. It's because the width is affected by the number automatically.

if you want to have the same width, maybe the workaround is to create three cards.

  • Hello,

I’m not completely sure there is a native way in the standard stacked bar chart, I think Power BI automatically resizes bars based on the visual space and categories.
You can try using a custom visual like Deneb or Charticulator, there you usually get more control over fixed widths. Another thing you can try is setting a fixed minimum category width in the formatting pane, sometimes it helps keep the bars visually consistent in tooltips.

    Best regards,
    Daniele
