Stacked line values based on category, two Y axis
Hi,
Once again one of my internal departments needs data visualized as lines, and it needs two Y axis. Unless something's changed very recently I assume I'll still be limited to the combo charts? Looking for any and all input on ways to get this done, because it's becoming tiring to inform them about constant visualization limitations that they take for granted from their legacy excel reports.
I got a date column, value column, region column, and an area name column. Areas are connected to regions, and region will be used as a slicer. When a region is selected, I need to plot the values for each area tied to that region as individual lines that are stacked.
Then for each region, I have one line that needs to be plotted on the same graph, but it will need a separate Y axis since the value difference is too great between the Area value and the region value, and it shouldn't be included in the stack.
There are about 150 areas, so I'm not exactly thrilled about the idea of doing 150 line values, one for each individual area.
The workarounds I've tried so far are the classics. Putting two visualiztions on top of each other, and using the "line and stacked column chart" and setting the lines that need to be stacked as columns. It just doesn't look good at all. Basically what I'd need is some way of adding a "line series" or making the columns into lines, or having two Y axis on a stacked area chart. with a "Shade area" toggle like the combo charts has for its lines.
Unfortunately, the lack of basic excel visualization options such as two Y axis in PBI has become an internal joke in my company, and with another essential report being impacted by this lack of options, I fear that we'll be dropping reporting in PBI until it matures.

Hi Anonymous
It is difficult for me reproduce your problem without example,
It would be better if you share some data or screenshot.
