Helper IIIStacked Chart X-Axis Formatting Help. Make X Axis Vertical.
Hi,
I have a Stacked Chart and need help formatting it. I am using power bi version 2.142.1277.0.
how come my x-axis text is not readable?
but if i make it smaller it fits vertically? however i dont want my chart to be smaller.
is there a way to force the x axis into vertical?
Hi wonka1234,
You won’t see “Label rotation” on this chart/version. The way to force the labels to a readable vertical layout without shrinking the visual is to reduce the Minimum category width. Select the chart then in format pane -> X-axis -> Layout -> Minimum category width. Now drag the slider down (towards a smaller value) until the labels flip to the vertical layout you get when the chart is smaller. This reflows the axis labels without changing the chart’s size.

To make X-axis labels vertical in Power BI:
Go to Format pane → X-axis → Label rotation → Set to 90°That’ll flip your labels upright without shrinking the chart. Let me know if you want cleaner fiscal labels too
