Spotfire Migration

Hi, I`m about to get involved in a major project where a client has scores of Sportfire reports that they need to move over to Power BI due to licensing costs. I`ve spent some time searching the web on this but can`t really see any automated way of doing this. Is it the case every report has to be created from scratch, connecting the data that the Sportfire reports are linked to then built from the ground up? Or is there some kind of feature in Power BI that will import some aspects of these reports?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Sorry, there isn't a direct, automated tool within Power BI that can convert Spotfire reports into Power BI reports.

You must connect the same data source and create it from scratch in Power BI.

Thankyou. I suspected as much but just wanted to confirm. Much appreciated!

@Anonymous We intend to undertake a similar exercise for the conversion process. I would appreciate discussing with you the obstacles encountered before the conversion and the challenges faced in the initial phase of the conversion

Thanks.
