Split text from first delimiter in Direct query

Question

I am using a direct query and want to spilt data from the first delimiter. Function 'FIND' is not allowed as part of calculated column DAX expressions on DirectQuery models.

Is it possible for you to change the Source Query ?
&nbsp;
Change it to something like this.&nbsp;
select LEFT(Col,CharIndex(' ',Col)-1 ) SeparatedCol,* from dbo.TestView
