Source data popup's?

Hi,

Only really starting using PowerBi in the last few weeks and firstly, I must say that I'm very impressed with it!

I wonder if anyone can help point me in the right direction here..

We have recently moved to O365 and in doing so we started using DLP polices to protect some key data and such from leaking. When a policy is triggered an email to sent with the incident report (and a copy of the original email attached) to an exchange mailbox.

I've already built a nice data model by pulling the data from the mailbox and cutting up the message body content to be able to drill down into who sent what to who and when as well as which rule was triggered which is fantastic.

My next idea to create a 'Call to Arms' where if a certain data set increases by a selected amount an email to triggered to the responsible person form them to query the event and see if any action is needed.

And...... this is where i get stuck. What I'd really like is some way to be able to show the original email as a popup so when the manager sees an entry they aren't keen on, they can click the visual and up pops the data that sits behind it (the original email).

Is there any way of doing this?

I'm thinking some sort of list and hidden bookmark or something?

Having only been exposed to PowerBi for a few weeks and with no formal training I'm struggling as I don't know what keywords and features are called so googling isn't retuning the required information.

Any help, pointers or just information on what I should be looking for would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,

Drinky,

HI @Drinky,

Unfortunately, power bi not contains similar features to writeback or send email on desktop side.

Maybe you can consider to create a transaction to record review operations, then and use programming language to create a application to trace these logs an send email.

Notice: power bi is a data visualizations and report editor tools, obviously your requirement not suitable its functions.

Xiaoxin Sheng
