Source Rows Not Displaying Correctly, slicer showing (blank) rows

I track groups nationwide via Excel reports, then represent trends across groups visually in PowerBI.  I use the desktop application to create reports, then publish them to a team on my PowerBI service.  The process has gone well until this past week.

 

While I should see 46 active groups, the report shows 43.  There is a slicer for group status (active, inactive, archived) it currently shows an option labeled "(blank)" There are no groups with a blank group status in the source spreadsheet.  If I check (blank) as well as active, I get an overreported number of groups 50.  If I select blank only, almost all my visualizations disappear.  I have gone back to the source Excel document several times.  There are no blank group statuses, and the manual count for active groups is correct (46).

 

If, within Power BI I go to the data tab, I see the spreadsheet and it is correct EXCEPT, the data and the cell borders for the rows do not line up!  Every row the data gets a little higher up the cell until the data is about 2/3 in the cell above it, then on the next row everything lines up perfectly and the process begins over.

 

It seems that once the data is out of allignment by a certain amount, the row is being shown as blank in every respect.  Please help.

    If it is convenient, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)

      Thank you.  I cannot at this time reproduce with a dummy report, but here are three screenshots of what I am experiencing:  The  report as it should look, demonstrating that there is almost no data for the groups whose status is listed as (blank), the data tab for the relevant spreadsheet.  As you will see, the data does not always line up with the rows.  I feel that PowerBI must be reading these rows as blank, because the spreadsheet contains no blank fields in the fourth column, which is the one on which the slicer is based.  DData tabNormal ReportThe problem Group
