Hi all,
I connect to one of my reports via Excel and create a pivot table using the Power BI dataset.
One of the columns I am using in pivot table conatins dates.
I would like to sort the dates from the newest to the oldest.
The issue is that the Excel reads these dates as text and I can only sort it ascending or descending which gives me wrong results.
The column data type in report is set to "Date".
Formating cells in Excel doesn't work.
Is there a way to change this column's format in Excel so it sorts properly?
Wrong outcome:
Desired outcome:
It is set to sort by date.
Screenshot is in Polish but it says it sorts descending by date.
