Sorting column chart by year & month

Hi all,

I am trying to visualize the number of instances of something that occurred per month over the past 4 months. But, when I use a value stored as a date hierarchy as my axis & filter down to the month level, it appears in this order - January 2019, September 2018, October 2018. November 2018, December 2018. January 2019 should be following December 2018. What do I need to do to ensure that the axis is sorted not just by month, but also by year?

Johanno's suggestion is useful.

As tested, if i click on "go to next level", it shows as your screenshot.

if i click on "expand all down"

Hi, it seems to interpret you dates as dates. You can drill down in two ways, have you tried to go up one level and then down with the other arrow?
