- Anonymous5 years ago
Hi vr_2020 ,
Refer this method.
Create a coulmn as below and it to Tooltips, then use it as sort value.
Column = var rnk1 = RANKX(FILTER('Table','Table'[Column2]=EARLIER('Table'[Column2])),'Table'[Column1],,ASC,Dense)*100 var rnk2 = RANKX(FILTER('Table','Table'[Column1]=EARLIER('Table'[Column1])),'Table'[Column3],,ASC,Dense) return rnk1+rnk2Best Regards,
Jay

Great, Thanks a lot Anonymous . It worked, while I try to use excel as source in PBI Desktop and believe this DAX works when we import the data from any database in PBI Desktop
My bad, I had to mention in my original post that I am using Snowflake as datasource and trying to create visual in PBI Desktop through Direct Query. Hence, when I try to use this DAX getting "RANKX is not supported in Direct Query mode" . Any option throught Direct Query mode?

Hi vr_2020 ,
You may try creating a measure instead of the calculated column. The rest steps should be the same. I haven't tried it yet but it's worth a try.
