Sort x-axis by index number

Hi,

I wan't to sort x-axis by another column but got this message.

 

 

I have Date column that also contains text a additional info, so the column format is text.

I made new columns; Index and id. Both are running numbers starting from 1...

Idea was to keep this order when making bar and line chart. In the chart when I have date column in shared axis order isn't this, so that's why I want to sort column by row number but still have that date column seen in the x-axis

    Hi sheva ,

     

    How did you insert the index column? Did you insert that in Power query? if so, please sort that in power query and try again.

      Hi v-frfei-msft 

       

      I insert the index column in power query, but I couldn't find how to sort by in power query.
