Sort matrix by a column and not the total

I have a matrix that is spread out over a few months, what i would like to do is sort by "December", and not have to sort by the total column. Is there a way to do this?

Hi @analyst312 ,

Currently, matrix visualisation is missing this functionality. But follow the following thread, there is a workaround to achieve this using a slicer:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Sort-by-Column-in-Matrix-Visual-not-by-Row-or-by-Value/td-p...

If this helps please give Kudos and mark it as a Solution! 🙂

Thanks,

Pragati

I think you just need to click on the December column to sort it, right?

@Greg_Deckler

I believe you mistook months as rows instead of column values.
