Sort graph bar by total not by category

Hello Fellas, 

 

i want to solve my problem of sorting by the total in my graph bar. 

Thanks in advance.

Hi @ferhat_lyes  -can you pls follow the below steps:

Select the Bar Chart in your report.

Click on the ellipsis (...) in the top-right corner of the visual>>Go to "Sort axis" → Select the Measure (Total Value)>>Choose "Sort Descending" to sort from highest to lowest or "Sort Ascending" for the opposite order.

 

Then, go to "Sort by Column" and choose TotalValue to sort by total.

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.


To sort the bar graph by total, please follow these steps:

  1. Create a DAX measure to calculate the total sum for each category and select the Stacked Bar Chart in Power BI.
  2. Add the newly created measure to the tool tip in visualiaztion pane. Once Total_Value is part of the visual, go to Sort axis, select Total_Value, and choose Sort Descending to display the highest total values first.
