Sort column based on the value of other column that possible can be the same value

Hi There,

How can I sort Senior VP column based on the value of Number of Incident? The issue here is the Number of Incident can be the same which we cannot use as a reference for sorting a column if there are duplicate in there?

is there anyway to do it?

Hi, @Marcky ;

So what does your raw data (even a small example) look like? What do you want the output to be?

please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

@Marcky

Create a new table using current table Senior VP column without duplicates.

Then create new column in new created table with count of Senior VP in current table. Using that column you can sort it.

if you need help to do that please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi @Dinesh_Suranga

Yes, but i want to sort it based on the number of incident

@Marcky

Yes. The second column you create in new table gives you the count of incidents.

@Dinesh_Suranga

how can i avoid having duplicate number of incident because sometimes there is no incident for 2-3 for the Senior VP meaning it will tag as 0
