Sort chart by month hierachy, but not name

Hello All,

I have the issue that I can't sort chart by month logic (hierarcy). It sorts months by alphabetical order.

How to change it?

If I do additional column with month number, how to add it to sorting?

Download your sample PBIX with solution

If you create a column that uses the same date for each separate date in the month and use that column as your axis, this achieves what you want.

How exactly is your data structured?  Are you using real dates in a Date column? 

If I create some sample data 

It sorts correctly by date if you just add date to the Axis - set it to Date not the hierarchy.

I tried to add as "date", but not hierarchy - unfortunately doesn't work for me 😞
