In a matrix view, i used a measure in values for a report. In the report if i sort the report by this measure, this doesnot work. Pls help.
Hi @bprakash,
In a Matrix, we can only change the order in row level.
Besides, when we sort the matrix by measure, the order is determined according to Total values rather than detailed records per column per row.

Hi @bprakash,
Currently, it is not achievable.

@Anonymous said "There is no way of sorting a matrix visual by a column not being displayed."
I found a way to not display my sort value because the the table in my matrix has a fixed number of lines. So I simply shrank the visual height to cause the bottom line to always be off the visual and thus it is sorted and not displayed. The only hangup is there is a vertical scroll bar on the far right that is always displayed.
I really like Power BI, but it seems that on such important items it still lags behind Tableau. This sorting issue while very important should be trivial in how it's done. I have tried all kinds of approaches and still there is no way of sorting a Matrix visual by a column not being displayed.
